First dates announced!

I was hoping the website would be updated over the weekend but here are the first confirmed dates on the tour:

REGENERATION TOUR 2009 with ABC - Wang Chung - Heaven 17 - Cutting Crew

June 17 Boston, MA - House of Blues (new 2500 capacity venue, opened last week)
June 18 New York City – Roseland *
June 20 Atlantic city, NJ – Resorts International Superstar Theater *
June 24 Vienna, VA (DC) – Wolf Trap Amphitheater *
June 26 Chicago, IL – Rosemont Theater *
June 27 Detroit, MI – Meadow Brook Music Festival
July 1 Salt Lake City – The Depot
July 9 Los Angeles, CA – Gibson Amphitheater *
July 10 Saratoga, CA (S.F.) – Mountain Winery *
July 15 Atlanta, GA- Chastain Park Amphitheater *

*with special guests BERLIN

excellent! I have one date near me, and I am honestly hoping for a date in a more intimate venue than Chastain Park... I want to get front row again so I can visibly spaz out, heh! Seriously, the people around me last time seemed to have zero interest in any of the music, just wanted to drink and sing along to the most famous songs of whoever was on stage... yes, I am a bit of an elitist on this point. Embarassed

I am new to the website, so a most basic question. How will tickets be distributed? IE thru this website or through the individual venues?

I am going to really make an effort to attend a show for the sake of my wife. She will love it.

Last time tickets were available through ticketmaster.com, & I'm sure each venue has a way of purchasing tickets as well. Your wife will love the show-- last year's was excellent, and it was a good atmosphere.

Each venue distributes their tickets in their own way, some are with Ticketmaster, some are part of the new Live Nation ticketing system (which is in hearings in Congress over their plans to merge with Ticketmaster, just 2 months after starting their own ticket system), some are TicketsNow, etc. Each venue/promoter will let us know when their tickets go on sale and supply us with a direct link to the ticket purchase site they use which we will post on www.regenerationtour.com.

Thanks. Is there anyway that you can email the members of the forum when tickets for any of the shows are announced? I am fairly certain that there will not be any shows in my town of 200,000 and I am going to have to plan a road trip or plane trip to attend a show.

Our Regeneration Tour does not do the UK, over there you have Tony Denton's Here & Now Tours which serve the exact same market of 80's fans!

I AM SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW, THAT I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT ANY FURTHER!!!

I love the lineup and I'm so happy that Berlin decided to rejoin the lineup and play at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va. (DC). I cannot wait to see this concert and will be purchasing tickets on March 28th (this is the date I was told by a Wolf Trap official today over the phone that the tickets will go on sale). I will take my entire family.

Thanks again ever so much for all of your work on this tour (despite what would have to be considered some obvious difficulties in pulling it all together you have done a fantastic job with this line-up!!!!) We are all very excited to see this years tour, though I must admit to being a tiny bit disappointed that it would appear that Berlin will not be doing the Detroit show!!!

Is there any chance that they may be persuaded to add a few more cities???
If not, will there be some other acts that will be considered to fill the 5th spot on some of the tour stops or will we be going with just the 4 acts in those cities such as Detroit??

In any case excellent work my man!!!!
You have indeed done very well!!!

Where Berlin are not on the shows those dates will only have the basic 4 band line up!

Still hoping for a Las Vegas date to appear, but I'm banking on Berlin now. Cutting Crew (for me) is just blah Rolling Eyes

. I'll probably show up late if they open. I was pumped for Men Without Hats, but they were apparently more trouble than they were worth. I just wish they were replaced by ANYBODY but Cutting Crew. Saw ABC last time round so that's a wash. Heaven 17 is awesome and Wang Chung is cool. I just need Berlin (or another good act) to make this one worthwhile in this economy.

If the show doesn't make it to Vegas (with Berlin!) at least we'll have Tears For Fears at Green Valley Ranch in July and Depeche Mode at the Palms in August! Hope Regeneration '09 makes it too!

All I can say is THANK YOU!!!! You know I wonder how many of the pop acts out now will be selling tickets to shows in 25 years.
The 80's will always be special to me and the music was and is the best part. Going to Atlanta and maybe some other cities too for this.

YOU RULE for putting these shows on.
