Is David Palmer in the lineup this year?

Actually, David Palmer is committed to Rod Stewart this summer, according to Martin. ABC's Steel City Tour drummer (UK tour last Dec) is on the toms this time around. They have added a fantastic saxophonist on the Regen Tour that competes with the original recording sax work on "When Smokey Sings" and "Poison Arrow". If you're a fan of the LP "How to be a Zillionaire!", then you'll really enjoy the prelude arrangement before the band kicks in.

Do any of these musicians have names? It would be great to know who the talented people in these lineups are. Very Happy

I can only tell you a few who were on last years tour with Martin and are back this year:
Matt Backer - guitar
Steve Kelly - keyboards
Peter Maloney - drums
Lily Jimenez-Santiago-Gonzalez - backing vocals/percussion
don't know the names of the leyboard/sax player nor this year's bass player.

Thanks for the reply. I can at least help with the bass player. His name is the one I understood when Martin introduced them in L.A. It's Andy Taylor. I remember that because I was going to be attending the Duran Duran show the next night in Las Vegas, and their former guitarist, as I'm sure you know, has the same name.

By the way, Rick, thank you so much for getting these acts together and showcasing them. These are the bands that inspired me in 1982 to begin my career as a DJ, but I never seemed to be able to see them perform live in those days, aside from a handfull of acts like Depeche Mode, A Flock of Seagulls, Thompson Twins, Adam Ant, The Untouchables, and Stray Cats. So, thanks again for helping me make up for lost time and relive my youth!
